Agile Scrum - Our methodology
The Agile Scrum development process allows changes and new requirements to be easily added during the development phase. This way of implementing projects is becoming very popular. We started to use Agile Scrum at an early stage in Go On Software.
The project is divided into specific time periods called Sprints. This is a development period which normally lasts 1-4 weeks. Before each sprint the functionalities and tasks to be solved in the current sprint are defined. A project may consist of several parallel sprints.
Go On Software uses Agile Scrum in their projects. On several instances the customer has actively joined this project follow-up.
The word Scrum comes from the sport rugby. Scrum is the name of a close structure of the players working shoulder to shoulder in order to move the ball forward.
A Scrum Master is responsible for delegation and follow-up. An important part of this methodology is the time aspect, large objectives are divided into tasks that take 1-2 days.
Evaluation is done often, several times a week, reporting what has been done and what is expected to be accomplished by the next meeting. Every Sprint ends with a report to the client and a demonstration of the application.
Agile Scrum methodology is repeated until the project is completed.
